Key responsibilities

• Design, set up, and run laboratory assays that support EQA participants and internal quality checks.

• Analyse data using standard laboratory software, summarise findings, and present concise technical reports.
• Participate in proficiency testing, assist with method validation, and document corrective actions where needed.
• Support sample reception, chain-of-custody tracking, and safe disposal following biosafety guidelines.
• Help maintain equipment uptime by performing routine maintenance and coordinating with service vendors.
• Assist senior staff with training sessions, protocol development, and implementation of best practices.

Candidate profile & qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
• Strong laboratory fundamentals: pipetting, aseptic technique, microscopy, and basic molecular biology methods.
• Familiarity with quality systems, documentation standards, and sample handling procedures is advantageous.
