Job Description

IBA Karachi is inviting applications from talented and qualified individuals for full-time faculty positions at Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor levels.

General Guidelines

• Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for presentations and interviews.
• Applicants with a Doctoral degree from a reputed international or national university in core or allied fields will be preferred.
• Candidates should demonstrate the ability to secure national/international research funding.
• Strong commitment to scholarly research, publications, and academic excellence is required.
• Recruitment at IBA Karachi follows a transparent, merit-based, and competitive process.
• Eligibility criteria are in line with HEC and IBA standards for faculty appointments.

Lecturer

Qualification:

• First Class MS/MPhil (18 years of education) in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized institution.
• No third division in academic career.

Assistant Professor

Qualification:

• PhD in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized university/institution.
  Experience:
• None required.
  Publications:
• None required.

Associate Professor

Qualification:

• PhD in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized institution.
  Experience:
• Minimum 10 years of teaching/research experience in an HEC-recognized university/postgraduate institution OR equivalent professional experience in the relevant field.
  Publications:
• At least 10 research publications in HEC-recognized journals, with 4 publications in the last 5 years.
• In addition, IBA requires 3 papers in W-category journals (as classified by HEC).

Professor

Qualification:

• PhD in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized institution.
  Experience:
• Minimum 15 years of teaching/research experience in an HEC-recognized university/postgraduate institution OR professional experience in the relevant field.
  Publications:
• At least 15 research publications in HEC-recognized journals, with 5 publications in the last 5 years.
• In addition, IBA requires 5 papers in W-category journals (as classified by HEC).
