About the Role

DigiTeam Solutions is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer on a full-time basis. This is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled professional to take ownership of an end-to-end software development cycle while working on an innovative platform designed for UK sole traders. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality product, guiding junior team members, and ensuring that the project is completed within scope and timeline.

Project Overview

The role focuses on building UK Sole Trader Tax Filing Software, a digital solution that simplifies the Self-Assessment process for freelancers and small business owners. This platform will automate tax calculations, integrate with HMRC systems, and ensure regulatory compliance. The goal is to provide self-employed individuals with a secure and efficient way to manage financial records and file taxes without hassle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the complete development cycle of the project, from planning to deployment.
• Mentor and oversee junior engineers by providing hands-on technical guidance, constructive feedback, and continuous support to enhance their skills and project contributions.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability through regular reviews.
• Make critical architectural decisions to create sustainable and robust designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or IT (BSCS, BSIT, BSSE).
• Proven hands-on experience with React.js, Next.js, and JavaScript for frontend development.
• Strong backend expertise in Express.js, FastAPI, or Django.
• Proficient in working with relational databases, including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Strong expertise in system architecture with a focus on designing scalable and maintainable applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with demonstrated leadership ability.
